Terms of Sale

The plain-English rules for buying from Duck Buck Goose: how subscriptions bill and renew, how to pause or cancel, and what to expect when your box ships.

Last updated October 14, 2026

The short version

  • Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. Every price on the site says how often it bills.
  • Pause for up to three months or cancel any time from your account. No password, no phone call.
  • Gift plans are paid once and never renew.
  • We ship within the United States. Boxes never contain ammunition or firearms.

The agreement

These terms apply when you buy from duckbuckgoose.com, run by Duck Buck Goose (“Duck Buck Goose”, “we”, “us”). By placing an order you agree to them, to our Cancellations & Refunds policy and to our Privacy Policy. You must be at least 18, or have a parent or guardian place the order for you.

To confirm: the legal business name and entity type (LLC, sole proprietor), and the state it's registered in.

Subscriptions & billing

When you subscribe, you authorize us (through our payment processor, Stripe) to charge your payment method automatically, on the schedule of the plan you chose, until you cancel:

  • Month to month — Billed $44.99 monthly ($44.99 a box).
  • 6-month plan — Billed $251.94 every 6 months ($41.99 a box).
  • 12-month plan — Billed $467.88 yearly ($38.99 a box).

On every plan a box ships each month. The 6- and 12-month plans are paid up front for the whole term and then renew for another term of the same length at the then-current price. Your first charge is at checkout; your next charge date is always shown in your account.

To confirm: renewal reminder emails. Several states require a reminder before a 6- or 12-month plan renews; the site doesn't send these yet.

Pausing & cancelling

You can pause or cancel whenever you like, from your account (we’ll email you a sign-in link) or by contacting us. Pausing stops boxes and billing for one to three months, then picks up again on its own. Cancelling stops future renewals; it takes effect at the end of the period you’ve already paid for, and any boxes in that period still ship. See Cancellations & Refunds for what happens to money already paid.

Gift plans

Gift plans buy a set number of boxes (3, 6 or 12), paid once at checkout. They do not renew and the recipient is never charged. You’re responsible for giving us the recipient’s correct shipping address. If you choose an “arrive by” date we’ll aim for it, but can’t guarantee carrier delivery dates.

What’s in a box

We choose what goes in each box, guided by the pursuits, state and details you give us. Contents vary from box to box; the items described on our site are examples, not a promise of specific products. Boxes never contain ammunition, firearms or firearm parts.

Hunting and fishing are regulated. You’re responsible for holding the right licenses and for using any gear we send safely and legally where you are, including your state’s seasons, bag limits, method rules and blaze orange requirements. We build boxes with your state in mind, but we don’t give legal advice; check your state wildlife agency’s regulations.

Merch

Hats, apparel and gear are sold as described on their product pages. Colors on screen and sizing can vary slightly. Returns and exchanges are covered in Cancellations & Refunds.

Shipping

We ship to addresses in the United States only. Subscription boxes ship free. Merch ships for the flat rate shown at checkout, or free over the threshold shown in your cart. Delivery times are estimates from the carrier, not guarantees. You’ll get tracking by email when each package ships, and you can always check it in your account or at duckbuckgoose.com/track.

To confirm: whether Alaska, Hawaii and military (APO/FPO) addresses are served, and roughly when in the month boxes ship.

Payments & prices

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. Prices are in US dollars. Sales tax is added at checkout where it applies. If a renewal payment fails, Stripe will retry it and we may hold shipments until it goes through; you can update your card from your account at any time.

We may change prices. A change never affects a period you’ve already paid for; for subscriptions, we’ll email you before a new price applies to your next renewal, so you can cancel first if you prefer. To confirm: how much notice (for example, 30 days). Promotional codes have the terms stated with them and can’t be exchanged for cash.

Your account

Your account doesn’t use a password. We sign you in with single-use links sent to your email, so keep that inbox secure and don’t forward our emails. Signing in on a device keeps it signed in for 30 days; use “Sign out of this browser” on shared computers.

Using the site

The Duck Buck Goose name, logo, artwork and site content belong to us; please don’t reuse them without permission. Don’t misuse the site: no attempts to break in, scrape it at scale, or interfere with other customers’ orders. We may refuse or cancel an order, with a full refund, if we suspect fraud or a pricing error.

Our responsibility

We stand behind what we sell (see Cancellations & Refunds). Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, the site and products are provided as described without other warranties, and our total responsibility for any order is limited to what you paid for it. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can’t be waived.

To confirm with a lawyer: warranty disclaimer and limitation of liability wording, and any product-safety language for knives, calls and similar gear.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the state the business is registered in, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Changes & contact

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows when. Changes apply to orders placed after that date. Questions? Use our contact form and we’ll write back.
